Anonymous asked: do you have any suggestion for lesbians that like to wear clothes from the buckle or hollister, or even be dressy with suits??

I don’t shop at those places, so I referred to Ashley for this one. She says, “I definitely don’t shop at The Buckle. But Hollister is alright. Sometimes I buy their button-ups. They just got some new super skinny jeans for guys; haven’t tried them yet but I might soon. They have cute underwear, button-ups, and really awesome cologne.”

Not sure what you are looking for in terms of suits, but here are some tags that might be helpful: suits, formal wear

Any other thoughts? Leave them in the comments!

Anonymous asked: What size clothing (shirts, pants, jeans, etc) do you wear in women's and what size do you wear in men's?

In women’s I wear a size 6 pants and S, sometimes M shirts. Most men’s clothes are usually too big for me, so I buy clothes from the boy’s departments; there I take M in Old Navy Boys, XL in American Eagle Boys, and L or XL in Macy’s Boys (8-20 section). In men’s clothes, H&M has a few XS that almost fit me but are still a tad too big. Topman is the only men’s store that fits me across the board. The skinny fit suit I got there is a 26 jacket and 32S pants. I take XXS or XS in their T-shirts and XS or S in their button-downs.

You Passed the Audition, Now Onto the Rehearsal Dinner

Check out this blog post I wrote for Equally Wed!

Combining men’s suits, shirts and ties with women’s oxfords will give you a well-fitting formal outfit that makes your honey weak at the knees while also showing her family what an upstanding choice you are for their baby munchkin-sugar-cutie-pie-doll-face.”

My Suit Has Arrived!

I present to you: the culmination of menswear for female bodied people.

Or in other words, AHHHHHH$%^&! MY SUIT CAMMEEE

The rarity of finding men’s clothes that fit me speaks to this momentous occasion. I got it at Topman, the UK brand that’s closest store to me is in New York. The pants are snug and conform well to my lady-thighs and the crotch area doesn’t even look like there’s too much extra room. The jacket bunches up a tad in the middle because of my hips, but the shoulders are the right width and the jacket is the right length. I will take it in and see what a tailor can do about that (and keep you guys updated!)

Topman’s clothes seem to be tailored for skinny guys. Everything is smaller and even some of the XXS’ are too small for me! I think the closet American Equivalent is H&M, but they only have a few XS sizes sprinkled around and those are still a tad roomie on me.

I’d also recommend just getting the pants if you are looking for men’s dress pants but not a whole suit. Here’s some light gray ones for $50.

My success with this suit demonstrates what my blog is all about: finding clothes that work for queers out of our limited options. I feel like hott stuff in it and I’m really proud to own it. Spread this around, because this suit is really an incredible find.

Special thanks to Georgie who originally told me about them!

Sonia and Ashley’s Picks: Favorite Watches

Looking for a new watch? Our picks  ranging from $65 to $380  will give you some ideas on adding some statement to you rocking outfit. From sporty to sleek to classic, these brands are the ones that inspire our fashion aesthetics.

1. 666 Barcelona, Colour Triple Time Zone ($170)

Comfortable and durable. Every time I look at it I feel like I’m diving into a sea of beauty. Every time people ask me what the other time zones are set to, I pretend to have clients in Australia and Japan. You can see me wearing this minimalist triple timezone gem here.

2. Rosendahl Flemming Bo Hansen QA Analog Plain Face Wrist Watch ($380)

As simple as it gets. Can you read it? Doesn’t even matter.

3. G-shock, Classic Casino ($110)

The ultimate sport watch. Some inner working are actually floating inside to shell so that it can absorb shock. The thing apparently never breaks, so it’s a good bet if you like to skateboard/snowboard/bike/swim/throw yourself off planes. See Ashley sporting it here.

4. Braun ($215)

A sleek square face giving you some personality but away from the limelight. Featured in this post.

5. Diesel ($295)

If badass means having a watch that tells time 4 different ways, I want in!

6. Tikkr ($65)

Simple, comfy, and lots of colors with exchangeable bands! Wonderfully unisex. See me in it.

7. Rolex Submariner (don’t ask)

It’s always nice to dream.

What are your favorite watches? Leave it in the comments.

laughing-withkafka asked: Currently obsessed with Express boxer briefs. They come in some great colors, are moderately priced, ridiculously comfy, and the band around the top is stiff and holds up better than most other briefs.

Awesomeness! Link

f1ux asked: Try Calvin Klein's Microfiber trunks. They're a bit on the pricey side, but oh so comfy and sexy.

Thanks! Link

Anonymous asked: I like Old Navy's boxer briefs. But Old Navy is owned by Gap, so I guess they're basically the same as Gap's? Just a different label or something. Not sure how that works. But anyway, they're super comfortable and 3 for $10.

Word. Yeah Old Navy is owned by Gap but they have different clothes so their boxer briefs could very well fit better. Link

Anonymous asked: Best boxer briefs? I find that fruit of the loom can fit really loose. Hanes is good quality but sometimes can be a little to tight on my lady thighs. I've found that Gap is actually pretty comfortable and comes in a lot of colors. I'm interested in trying other brands to see what works best. Any suggestions?

I really like Diesel’s boxer briefs, but haven’t tried them. I bought American Apparel’s Cotton Spandex Jersey Boy Brief and the edge immediately started shredding; cute but not worth the money. I also own a pair of Ellen’s just for the novelty but they are not super comfortable.

Any other ideas?

Peter pan collars, bow ties, and berets

Decked up in peter pan collars, bow ties, and berets, our Austrian-based friend Emma is going through a lot of popular trends right now in both femmewear and menswear. Any one of these outfits would be perfect for your next soiree.

YESS. It does not appear that Zara has this exact sweater anymore, though they still feature the style in these tops. Not what you’re looking for? Luckily, Etsy has 3,483 hand-made goodies with peter pan collars!

An example of successfully mixing pinstripe and plaid. Also, that bow tie… amazing. Armstrongs Vintage has an online store on ebay, linked to below.

There’s been a big trend lately of all black and white outfits (Janelle Monáe anyone?) Limiting it to these colors lets you play around with texture and ruching.
